And, off we go as the top 20 kicks off with...

Concentration at 20.

19 is To Tell the Truth.  It's an ep from the 70's era (with the lyrical theme song)

Always nice to hear a younger Alan Kalter, isn't it?

In some ways, yeah. Also should mention that it's the Frank Abagnale episode that GSN aired a few years back of course when the movie Catch Me When You Can was released. Since IGAS and TTTT fell onto this countdown pretty much close to each other, I'm willing to bet that WML? may be coming up real soon on this thing.

So Name That Tune vs Double Dare is the final question.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

What year does the LC appear to be from? I noticed it was with the original theme song...
"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

The copyright date, albeit small, read 1990.

Interesting to hear a Bhen variant and other TPIR cues when going to break.

Just hearing the setup for TTTT could make your head explode, let alone watching Love Connection afterwards.

...Meh, thumbs in the middle tonight. It was great to see a 70's TTTT for the first time, and it was a great epsiode. However, to say IGaS, TTTT, amongst others is not as good as Love Connection is just downright silly. How did this show get eleven seasons, originally? Thumbs in the middle tonight.

Love Connection IS NOT A GAME SHOW.

There has a been a discussion about this list skewing to a younger demographic.  I think the idea of advertisers going for the 18-35 year olds because they have the most spendable money (forgive me if that sounds confusing or wrong) is Bulls**t.  With student loans, most young people in entry level jobs, and that demographic buying their first basic necessities, there isn't much money left.  Either this demographic in the minds of advertisers either has a lot of spendable cash or the most gullible.
My favorite Win Ben Stein's Money Category:

Where Am I Doc? Urinalysis Restaurant.

Basic necessities?  Such as soap, shampoo, ketchup, toilet paper?

There's no established brand that I really buy of anything except deodorant--I use Old Spice exclusively.  Otherwise, I buy whatever is on sale, or occasionly, if I see something advertised on TV, I will try it (moreso with food).

Meanwhile, my parents are set in what they buy...Era Detergent, Bounce fabric softener, etc., and they really don't seem to change from this.

Era and Bounce are relatively recent products (mid '70s) that were heavily advertised when they came out, so your parents were influenced during their youth.  My mom always bought Tide and I do too, although we did buy Breeze for a while after seeing Dolly Parton advertise it on Porter Wagoner.  Then we figured out the free towel in the box cut down the amount of soap you got.  If you find something that works, why change?

Interesting that Garry Moore's shows were represented by his replacements.

This thread is dangerously close to eclipsing the number of posts on the "internet finds" thread, so this countdown better end soon. :)
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

This was a split decision night.  Although we started at #20 woth Concentration, like others that got only a slight mention, I wouldm't mind seeing this one.  This brings us to #19,

Nice to see Garry Moore's To Tell The Truth here.  I tried to figure out the imposter based on their looks.  I got the first one even before the panel started the questioning.  I missed the NY Islanders coach one.  Moore did a decent job keeping the panel in line except when he tried to stop Peggy Cass from further questioning, she kept going a bit.

As for #18 in Love Connection. I flat out avoided that one because to me it's not a game show. Rather, it's people trying to hook up with one another.  That's all I'll say about that.

Dom't be surprised if this thread syrpasses the Intenet Find one shortly & maybe even the Millionaire Question thread in a few weeks before the #1 show is revealed.
