And, that pretty much guarrantees that WOF will be a Sajak episode.
Let's see...the master copies of at least the absolutely overwhelming majority, if not outright entire, Woolery run are gone, as are some early Sajak-hosted shows, Benirschke was ill-fit as a host, Goen's version was cheap....Generosity here would be a Sajak era show with shopping.

It's good that GSN did indeed at least mention Name that Tune....
God as my witness, I honestly thought for a brief moment that they were going to give us an episode.

If they had, all would have been forgiven.

What...the...hell

ANOTHER Lingo episode. Season 5, Jackpot's at $35,000.

They couldn't show Beat the Clock, but they could show TWO Lingos.

And, no other shows tonight, as Lingo gets a double run.

I guess this makes idea of them airing both Michael Larson PYL episodes seems all the more likely now.
After tonight, I suppose we can now compile the list of remaining shows with 99.9% certainty:
Dating Game,  Newlywed Game, Family Feud, Match Game, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Gong Show, Press Your Luck, What's My Line
Pyramid, Password, Millionaire, & Let's Make a Deal.
The quandry is how they'll be arranged...

This is probably why I thought we might actually have gotten a Name That Tune.  Listing services said we were getting only #17 and #16 tonight.

I was thinking Millionaire until you made that suggestion.  I'll bet that's what's gonna happen on Tuesday.

Which points out why I wish GSN could have somehow licensed one time episodes of shows they dont have..Once they got done talking about NTT, I figured we would get 2 Lingo shows..This whole "countdown" has been a total joke..

Ugly as it sounds, I'm betting that Amazing Race pops up.
EDIT: Actually, I'm 100% certain that the Amazing Race is going to appear. I have no information on when, so I'm betting on Wednesday of next week.

If that's true, then once again we're left wondering what gets left out.  With fourteen slots left (assuming AR gets one), these fifteen shows haven't been mentioned:

The Dating Game
Family Feud
The Gong Show
Hollywood Squares
Jeopardy
Let's Make A Deal
Password
Press Your Luck
Match Game
Millionaire
The Newlywed Game
The Price is Right
Pyramid
What's My Line
Wheel of Fortune

Plus, if Amazing Race actually gets a slot, what about Survivor?
And if Remote Control, why not Double Dare?
And if Shop Til You Drop, why not Supermarket Sweep?
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

If TAR is indeed getting a slot, then I think the most likely omission would be *gasp* What's My Line?.   I strongly doubt that they'd omit Millionaire, Match Game, Jeopardy!, Wheel, or Price, and the rest of the shows either appear in the promo or are mentioned in the press release.

Amazing Race is mentioned in the press release, and there are pictures of it in GSN sell sheet for 50 Greatest Game Shows.
Perhaps, outrageous and upsetting as it sounds, What's My Line is the casualty?
Or...maybe the fact that Amazing Race was mentioned in the press releases doesn't guarantee its appearance and I'm completely wrong.
Every other show that's been in the press release has been featured though...

They would have omitted something to include Line...BTC, perhaps.

Was Dating Game ever actually included in the commercial or PR?  If they're going to include Race, *something* has to get excluded, and it seems like a potential casualty

Edit: I'm viewing the PR on the corporate site now.  Not a single mention of Race. Still definitely in the sell sheet though
