TVG did have a lengthy article long after the fact (during the USA run) in the color section. Why they bothered that late in the game is anyone's guess; it is an interesting story.

The Dating Game, based on the promo, appears to be a rare 1978-80 episode.
My money is on The Gong Show and The Dating Game airing tonight...

In another instance of "They put THAT show THERE?" -- look out for Wheel or Pyramid.

Well I have 1 prediction right....I'm hoping The Hollywood Squares will land in at #11. BTW, so far on TGS the 1st two contestants got gonged.

Nothing against you, Richard, but I hope you're wrong about The Dating Game. I really don't want to see it tonight, and I'd prefer to see something more traditional, like a Wheel, Jeopardy or a Squares. Three's a Crowd and Treasure Hunt did air back to back, so Dating Game is a possibility.

I'm not watching the countdown tonight, but I noticed in the promo that Steve Martin was on the panel.
If the first act was Michael Lincoln, this is the episode where there's no winner and Chuck almost chokes on confetti at the end of the show.

Gee, interesting how The Dating Game outclasses 'Squares' by making the top 10, yet it's not been anywhere on GSN's schedule for a couple years.
That is, assuming its inclusion in the promo signifies that it'll show up.
