I think, though, that logic would suggest something pretty close to that. IF we take the Dwyer quote at face value (and there are reasons why it doesn't make a lot of sense) then three of the last six shows are not going to be seen.
Millionaire,
Match Game and
Family Feud are three of their most popular shows,
Wheel and
Jeopardy less so, and
Price, of course, they don't have at all. On the surface, then, the most logical assumption is that the first three will be shown, and the last three won't. Is it
possible that they could surprise us with Price and not show one of the others? Sure, but that doesn't seme remotely as likely as the other explanation.[/quote]
The bigger problem with the logic everyone throwing around is why would they give a double shot of Pyramid and LMAD when they'd have to shaft FF, MG, and WWTBAM with a single episode each if they were intending on airing the other three.
Unless, perhaps, Sony has a deal with KingWorld that keeps those two shows out of prime time on GSN.
That's certainly the more plausible explanation why they'd not air them. Supposedly KW has some agreement with Oprah and Dr Phil where they can't be run opposite one another unless they're both double run, so it's not outside the realm of possibility that there's a similar non-compete agreement concerning J! and WoF (especially since both would air current episodes on the west coast during the same time period 50GGS airs on the east coast)
