Looking at the ads: Is it me or the show is looking like "The Gong Show 2006" with the judges eliminating the contestants by hitting a button (which displays a giant X above the stage)?

I lost count a long time ago, is this the 9th or 10th attempt to bring back the Gong Show concept without calling it the Gong Show?

Well, it is Fremantle...so you may not see a "gong".  Instead, you get a touch of "Feud".

Without the use of the '3 strikes' format this would be Star Search.  However, it's now The Gong Show with boos and all.  I thought it was dumb that an act could get stopped by all 3 strikes but still make it through to the next round.

Well at least the British judge isn't as "pathetic" as Simon Cowell...

I find it funny that every single talent competition has one British judge.  And they all somehow are the mean one of the group.  Besides American Inventor...I hated that short fat guy who thought he knew everything.

Yeah, there isn't much show, but I'm watching it and giggling. And David Hasselhoff is scoring about a billion style points for realizing that he's a joke, much like William Shatner did a couple years ago.

And when the overnights come out, we'll find out if he SAVED NBC!

(Can't make a comment on the actual show--DVR and/or TVG Interactive power surged or brain farted or something and changed it to "TBA," although it recorded "Celeb Poker Showdown" at the same time.  Premiere's re-purposing at 10 p.m. tonight on Bravo and on the main stem Friday night.)

Not just that... but it's every talent competition that has some variation of the word "America" in the title.

Perhaps I'm misreading "pathetic," but while Simon is cranky, at least he's interesting. This guy was just exhausting. He says "We're ready for Eddie" and chuckles like he's just come up with a brilliant joke.

Interesting to hear the Feud strike sound and the Press Your Luck pass sound, though. Guess they wanted to do something with them after Game Show Marathon taped.

I was going to comment about the PYL pass sound & Feud buzzer, but I see somebody wasted no time.

Now the only reason to why I watched the premiere show the other night was Sydney Park alias Syd the Kid, whom you might've seen on That's so Raven and on an episode of EntertainmmentStudios.com. I tell you, you may hate mr for what I'm saying but ture to the title, that kid's got talent.
