A BIG BASIC Games Update!
« on: July 12, 2006, 04:19:23 PM »
This is a BIG day for BASIC Games... We have not one... not two... but three updated games ready for Download!

First, an updated version of $ale of the Century. The main game is based on the current Australian version, Temptation. The bonus game is my own creation.

Next, Deal or No Deal with the $5,000,000 board and some more Howie.

Finally, Press Your Luck 2007 featuring the boards and new dollar amounts from Game Show Marathon.

Download them NOW at basicgames.folff.com

Why WOULD they be? (Unless they're written in Java.)

No Java usually = No Mac.

Well it wouldn't be a BASIC Games Update with out a technical glitch. The Games are now ready for download.

I'm not sure if they are mac friendly. You'll just have to download the runner off of my site and see.

Download them NOW at basicgames.folff.com

The Wikipedia page for Learn to Program BASIC suggests that there was in fact a Mac version of the Runner.  Unfortunately it's no longer on Interplay's site (nor is the Windows version, for that matter).

Even if a copy could be located, this page lists System 6 the minimum requirement for the Mac version, so it's not likely to work on any modern Mac anyway.

It's on the (relatively) ancient side; this page pegs the release date at 1998.  Apparently this flavor of BASIC was created primarily for the tutorials that came with it.

Needless to say we're not talking about anything remotely standard or up to date.

A problem involving the Fame Game portion of the Main Game Program for $ale of the Century has been fixed. The new Main Game program can now be downloaded at basicgames.folff.com

Read the page closer - it offers up the base program on which all the packages run.

Neither is your signature. As a supporter of the Special Olympics, I'm offended.

Grow the hell up.
