The press release from The Futon Critic says that Barry Manilow will perofrm "Bandstand Boogie" live as the Academy honors Dick for his work during the Aug. 27 awards.

No mention of Dick being in attendance.

It would not surprise me if the Emmy's were lacking in Dick, considering they haven't had balls for some time now. :)

While I wouldn't anticipate Dick Clark being there at the Emmys, it's certainly possible to see him briefly appear via satellite.

I don't see why that would be the case.  If he's able to make the appearance, seems like he'd rather make it in person.  Doesn't he still live in Southern California?  I'm pretty sure he's got somebody who can drive him to the Shrine.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Hell, if he doesn't, I'll fly down and give him a lift. :)

I hope we see Dick Clark, even for just a cameo...I hear he's doing okay now.
