For those of you who are complaining about the money, I was told by a mob member that the money tree will be different come episode three.

Did they switch the episode numbers up?  I was told by a mob member that the dollar values we are at now came into effect on the third taping and on.

"I was told by a mob member" trifecta is in play.

Will it be like the money trees on "Name that Tune?" Now THAT would be cool.

The promo after DOND last night indicated a 7pm CT episode would be aired Friday, followed by 1 vs. 100... this after the emphasis on "1 hour earlier" in the promo at the end of "1 vs. 100" last week.  Ahh consistency!  I wonder what triggered that quick switch?

Don't forget that if something ain't broke, you really shouldn't try and fix it.

The more I think about it...would it really be that much harder to implement a "if you use a help, you can't win any money in this round *and* your winnings are lessened by half" rule?

I know the all-important focus groups like to see folks win a lot of cash money, but honestly, will we see anyone leave before they use up their helps? The rule where it costs something to use a help makes the game a lot less predictable. And the producers could theoretically bump up the prizes per mob member ejected.

Excited to see the show Friday, however it comes. Glad to see it got a second order from the Peacock.

I think a much smarter idea would be to let the player use whichever help they want, in any order.  Once the two helps are done, they can surrender, after hearing the question, with 25% of their bank while the Mob receives the other 75%.  The helps are OK I suppose, but I am just not keen on the idea of the player being forced to do them in a certain order.

According to the UK Guardian, NBC were so pleased with the ratings for the first episode they've ordered another ten.

I'm gonna guess that if they do that, the Millionaire folks sue them for look-and-feel. They're already ripping off the "lifeline" concept pretty mercilessly as it is.

I disliked this alot.  The problem with these games is it takes so much investment to get to a portion of the game that is mildly exciting and then someone either loses or bails out and then we have to START ALL OVER AGAIN!  Boring in my opinion.

Overall...Thumbs down for me! Lame!

It's going to get 10X more boring because NBC just asked for 10 more episodes. Oil up those thumbs everybody!

Wouldn't be the first show to rip off the "lifeline" concept.

First-time poster, long-time game show fan :)

Also to note is that NBC is apparently getting out of the scripted TV business from 8-9p, citing costs (NBC Universal is slashing 700 jobs and cutting $750M out of its budget -- formal announcement this afternoon).

So expect to see all of NBC's game/reality fare moving to the 8p ET slot once football season ends.  Possibilities...

M - DoND
T - Reality show or Dateline
W - Reality show or Dateline
Th - DoND (?)
F - 1 vs. 100
Sa - Dateline
Su - America's Got Talent
