More new GS games coming soon

GameSpot has a few screenshots up of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I'm becoming interested in these games more and more. I'm digging the Clue Crew's presence in the game and Pat's wardrobe in the tropical set is a really nice touch. A quick search of the J! Archive (clue 21 in Double Jeopardy) shows that game's material looks to be mostly taken from the show.

So, two big items from a Target/Ubisoft press release today.
1) Ludia is also developing a Who Wants to be a Millionaire home game.
2) The H² game will feature, for the first time I can think of for a Hollywood Squares game, actual celebrities. The press release mentions Brad Garrett, Kathy Griffin, Martin Mull and Jeffrey Tambor by name.

I have a feeling that it might just be using show footage, a la Ludia's TPiR game. I wouldn't expect anything new. Not sure if I'm as excited about this now.

Well, it seems a new Wheel of Fortune ticket redemption is coming out soon. By the looks of it, you spin to see how many tickets each letter is worth, and then you get to pick 3.If you solve the puzzle, you win bonus tickets. If not, you win whatever you accumulated when picking letters. Just like the Deal Or No Deal redemption game, you can add another credit to activate "Double Play", where each spin is worth twice whatever you land on. Here's a video:

Damn the actual celebrities, real home game fans want to know if Hayseed and C. Quinn Galore will be a part of this version.

One Billion Brownie Points to Ubisoft if they add Gilbert Gottfried and Penn & Teller to the game with a optional "YOU FOOL!!!" feature for wrong answers! ;-)

I think he means they're not "real" celebs ;)

I'm surprised to see THQ throwing money at these celebrities thinking it will sell better with their names attached.

Family Feud, PYL, and TPiR all performed respectably at retail based on the licenses alone.  As much as I love KG, I doubt her presence will lure in new customers that don't know the show.

Do you have something in a size other than "Whoosh"?

I think he means that the celebrities listed are not celebrities.  He must've never seen Everybody Loves Raymond (Garrett), Arrested Development and The Ropers (Tambor), nor a variety of programs over the last 35 years (Mull).  L to the Ame.
