More new GS games coming soon

A couple of notes from browsing and shopping today:

- If any Chicagoans actually want the Identity home game, the Go! games store at Northbridge on Michigan Avenue has it for $8.33.

- Target has the TPIR electronic doodad down to $24.99.  To those of you who have bought it: does the actual model have the 100 and 15 in red, like the picture on the box, or is it more true to the show?

- The Disney Wheel of Fortune does come with three snap-on wedges for the deluxe wheel: Disneyworld trip, Disney cruise, and some other Disney vacation.  Oddly, the box display doesn't show any holes in the wheel for the wedges to snap into.  Also, dollar amount appear to be in $100 increments, with a top value of $700.  I'm guessing vowels still cost $250, though, since $50 bills are part of the play money set.

Grad school starts this week. If I can find a time to get down to Northbridge and get Identity this weekend, I'm game.

I would still hold out for the DS version of TPiR coming out on the 9th. I told my friend and she said she would just get the DS for that game alone. As for the electronic doodad...is it worth it (regardless of the previous versions?)

5 and 15 are green sections, 100 is red text on a black space.

For Canadians who want either the 2nd edition DVD game or tabletop versions of TPiR...the Sears wishbook comes to the rescue!

They also have a handheld Password, with stylus (designed ala the PYL handheld) for $14.99

Here's a link to the handheld Password:

Handheld Password

Interesting to see it, but not sure what to make of it.

The amazon web site lists Password and a hand held electronic version of Press Your Luck as being released on September 1st. The PYL game also lists for $14.99. The Password game comes with a picture of Allen Ludden, which means it might play like the version he hosted. That makes sense, to me anyway.

Also, Endless Games has a box game of Million Dollar Password that's also set to be released in September.

When I first looked at the illustration from Sears (Canada), I thought from the ractangular block for words displayed, that maybe it was being made like the current MDP game.

Well, check out this illustration from Target:

According to my Itoys contacts @ the Toy Fair in Feb, they were holding off on the design , waiting to see just how well MDP would do on the air. Had the show tanked, they would have gone with the original version graphics and no tie-in.

^ So they've updated the Password game. Makes sense with MDP. The amazon site had a purple display packaged with a snapshot of Allen. I'll get the updated version, I've always liked word games.

Amazon dropped the price of the 3 versions of The Price is Right which will be released in 2 weeks, each by $7.  The PC version is now $13, the DS is $23, and the Wii is $33.

Is there going to be any difference from the retail and PC Download versions, any added content? Because a little bird told me that MSN Games might be having a sale over the long weekend that would beat that price...
