^ A DVD version of Cash Cab?  Hmmm, something I'll have to check out in addition to the MDP DVD game. Also, somewhat game show related, Winning Moves is releasing a card version of Scattergories.  Go to www.winning-moves.com

It's already out. I saw it at a local game store about a week ago.

The Cash Cab DVD game is news to me, and has me wondering if the OP meant to say "board" game, which I have, but bought online last summer, from Barnes and Noble.

Speaking of which, B&N's website is now listing the LINGO board game, but no details as to a release date, box art illustration, or price.  It only shows that it is by Imagination Games, and is subtitled "Competitive Word Game,"  though they left the "p" out of "competitive."

Yeah it probably was the board game, the box was smaller and I saw Imagination Games and automatically thought DVD. There were so many games there it was hard to keep it all straight. I just quickly scanned everything, I had been driving two hours at that point. Sorry bout that.

/and if a Cash Cab DVD game comes out soon, then consider me a psychic.

EDIT: Just saw post above, and now it's got me thinking of what I saw...still probably was board game but that was an awfully small box.....

If the box was approximately the same size as the Merv Griffin's Crosswords game, then it likely was the board game.  Otherwise, if it was even smaller, then it could have been the DVD version.

While on the subject, Pressman's website shows that a second Deluxe edition of WOF is coming soon, as well as a third edition of the traditional WOF box game.  No mention of a new Jeopardy! game this year, which you'd think there would be, honoring the 25th anniversary of the current series.

I've never seen this before, but the Deluxe Wheel of Fortune game (1st Ed) is included in Pressman's "Deluxe Wooden Game Chest".  It says it includes cage bingo, pewter chess, wood checkers, backgammon, Rummikub  and.....Wheel of Fortune. Is it just me or is WoF kinda out of place here? I mean I know it's a good family game but usually in these sets you see more "universal" games like Tic Tac Toe, Tiddly Winks, Dominoes, some sort of card games, etc. The price on this is expensive, ranging from about $120-$150 online.

Does Pressman have many properties left of their own?

Rummikub is older than Scrabble. Is it traditional in the way that Cribbage or Pachisi is? No, probably not. So it's probably just as well that I'm not seeing the word "traditional" anywhere in Pressman's ad copy.

(Also, if I own an IP like that, and I'm putting together a product of largely public-domain games, you bet your ass I'm going to add value by including it, especially when the components are wholly appropriate.)

Jeopardy! is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Much better than the Wheel game in terms of accuracy to the (current) show, sound, etc...includes the voice of Johnny Gilbert.

EXCEPT: Rounds consist of three categories. Doesn't hamper gameplay, though.

Probably the coolest feature of any J! game I've seen...the ability to write your name on the podium.

9 megs, 1500 A+Q's, $4.99.

I thought that with a slightly larger widescreen, they'd give you the ability to play a full game. Oh well. At $4.99, it's definitely a steal. I have a Blackberry, on which Jeopardy! costs $9.99. On top of that, there's no real SFX or music (it's all MIDI, and not good), no write your name ability, and graphics somewhere between plug and play and Super NES. So, just to recap, the iPhone has Wheel, J!, Price, MDP, and Millionaire (Family Feud, anyone?).

Just on a side note, has anybody ever gotten close to using the advertised number of questions/puzzles/words without a repeat in any computer/cell phone game? I only ask because the Blackberry version of Jeopardy, IIRC, advertised 1,000 clues, and I only got though 15 games, or 465 clues, before the game asked me to download new content (which it never does).

Fun Fact To Make You Feel Old: Syndicated Jeopeardy has allowed champs to play until they lose longer than they've retired them after five days.

Grabbed Crosswords for $5 from a Walmart clearance shelf today.  Actually, once you unTy it, it's not a bad little party game.

Saw the "Crosswords" PC game at a local Big Lots for $6, FYI.

Saw same said PC game as above at same said price at Half Price Books, as well as the Concentration PC game by Freeze Tag for $6.
They also had other various PC GS titles including Wheel and Jeopardy Deluxe Ed (from a few years ago), and I even saw the Millionaire Platinum Edition (3 discs: 1st Ed, 2nd Ed, Sports) from quite a few years ago. I forgot how big PC game boxes used to be until I saw that Millionaire set.
