The Price Is Right
« on: May 24, 2007, 11:30:25 AM »
Guest hosting The Price Is Right at this time is George W. Bush, so I wonder.
Does this mean one fewer show with Bob will be taped?
Will today's scheduled episode run on the West Coast only?
What happens if at 11am EDT on Friday, June 15th Katie Couric graces our screens with the announcement that our chief executive is about to address the nation?
Would CBS be prepared for the potential barrage of hate over their switchboard?
Your comments, please.

George W. Bush's approval rating if that happened: 3.5%.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

Life goes on.  Babies are born, a TV station runs an episode of MASH, someone on this board makes a gazpacho joke...things continue onward. Especially given they're rerunning the finale at 8 PM ET/PT that night.

I'd expect at some point over the summer they'll air today's episode in with the usual reruns in the slot, for those interested.

Remember Jim Perry's farewell to television 18 years ago?  I don't either.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Considering Monday is supposed to be a rerun (TBA as of this morning), that may be where they slot it.

Well, it wasn't exactly his last time in front of a camera.  Does the name Bob Berkowitz ring a bell?  :)

Indeed I do. And if not for Doug The SRIV, I'd still be seething about it.
Even though $otC was a big deal for me (being my favorite quiz show), TPiR is certainly a bigger deal to most.

Isn't the exact same episode being re-aired 9 hours later anyway?

Indeed it is. But that won't stop some citizens from getting up in arms.
Admittedly, I'm certain I'd be a bit twinced myself even with the prime time airing.

George W. Bush's approval rating among stoners if that happened:  4.20%.

If Bushwhacker Jr. interrupts the 6/15 show, at least we'll have a second chance to watch that show in prime time.

That's the date he left U.S. television screens.  When did he say farewell to Canadian TV screens.

IIRC, "Definition" went off in 89 as well.

Had Jim not hyped the farewell so much, I might not have let it bother me.  C'mon, I sat through two weeks of "At Rona's" to be rewarded with an NBC News report on something CBS and ABC didn't deem worthy of live coverage.  Hey, I like seeing Michelle Gillen too, but not when it's during the last-ever $ale.
