A GS puzzle.
« on: May 27, 2007, 11:47:34 AM »
This was presented to me by a friend of mine a couple of days ago.

The first answer came to me easy, and the second one followed, but the third one took some thinking.

Verbatim:

"Name three game shows that made use of a game board with 18 squares and showed a close-up shot of the contestant in the center of the board."

EDIT: Not just a board, but a SQUARE board.

Damn it, I forgot.

He said a square board.

Very good, nevertheless.

Then sub Wipeout for Whammy, and we're good.

I will cash in some of my HonestyPoints, and say that PYL and Second Chance came to me immediately, followed by Winning Streak about 15 seconds later.

And even though I used up all of my NitpickPoints years ago, I will point out that these shows used rectangular boards, but not square ones. (The better to fit a standard TV screen of the '70s and '80s.)
