CBS Orders Four More Primetime TPIR Specials

Bring 'em.

The last three were fun, but I am just not feeling the attachment of a $1,000,000 prize to a show that does just fine on its own.

I did at first, but this thread pretty much echoes my sentiments to a tee.

Were three specials all that were done this last go around?  For some reason, I was under the impression that six episodes were taped.

There are six--4 have aired, and the other 2 will air after March Madness.

April 30th is a Wednesday.  I'm a little surprised the powers that be aren't keeping it on Fridays, where it seems to be doing pretty well.

/March Madness can't end soon enough for me.

And I believe it will go against the "Idol" finale, although with the knowledge that people should know by now that the only important part of that bloated whale comes at what should be 9:55 p.m. ET, when Seacrest should be announcing the big winnah (unless Fox purposely lets it run way past 10 p.m.).  Although "DOND" tore apart "Truth" in their one head-to-head (with the M$M still in force), "TPIR" should be frisky competition for "DOND" and "Truth" for the other three weeks.

Actually the 2 remaining MDS's from the first lot are scheduled to air on April 4 and April 18 at 8.  I guess that CBS is ordering four new MDS's to air on Wednesdays after Big Brother is over.

According to the listing on my Tivo ON April 4 it airs at 9.  A new Ghost Whisperer at 8.

If that is accurate, cbs is trying to kill Duel

If CBS took a look at the ratings the last time Duel ran, they would see that effort wasn't exactly necessary here.

MDS on April 4th, then a skip on the 11th(2-hour Ghost Whisperer) followed by the last MDS of the 1st cycle on the 18th.  Friday nights are gonna be hard for 2 of the 3 weeks.

As for the 2nd cycle, pairing it up against DoND is an interesting match-up, but I'm afraid DoND will beat it out(Its World Tour shows will air in May). (sighs) I just can't win!

This could be a very interesting ratings competition here...TPIR v. Truth v. Ice Cream and Pony Show...I want to think that TPIR will trounce them (maybe a MoT killer), but very interesting slotting nonetheless.

Also interesting is the possibility of two major Fremantle properties airing at the same time (AI & TPIR)...
