But HERE'S a fun fact you'd probably never guess: All of the shows featured on Game Show Marathon...are you ready?...All of the shows were, in fact...game shows.

With any luck, we've all learned something today. When a fandom that absolutely loves minutiae (don't they all?) thinks that what you're talking about is needless detail, silly trivia, and/or just in general more is useful as fodder than as a discussion point, perhaps you should be refocusing your mental energies on something else because you clearly just haven't thought your cunning plan all the way through.

Some more fun GSM facts for you guys...

* Every show during GSM's run aired on TV.

* I was wearing underwear while watching each installment of GSM. Shocking, I know. I might've missed a show, but I stopped giving a damn after Press Your Luck.

* There is an actual Ricki Lake, located in southern Missouri. Oddly enough, Rich Fields lie on the shore of Ricki Lake.

* The reason Rich Fields was never seen during GSM was due to surgery on Rich's mouth and larynx, in order for Rich to never make an 'r' sound ever again. The result was many caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahs given away during TPiR season 35.

The original post was well beyond "wow" stage.

You'll have to excuse the original poster. A certain former member who has been banned for almost 2 years happened to be using some kind of mind control device on him.

Now, see, we can't say they were all hosted by someone other than Monty Hall expect "Let's Make A Deal" because Monty hosted Beat the Clock at one point.

FWIW, Zach's eternal bannination was the main topic the first night I was in LA for GSC5. I mentioned Zach entered the sin bin before my flight to LA. SRIV94 mentioned that wacko Zach-o had been banned outright earlier that day, before WML?

My favorite Zachxtermination moment was at a GSC in Cleveland when he insisted on being a "mystery guest/caller" for a What's My Line-esque segment by telephone.

Pretty much pegged him right off the bat, then as soon as we were told that we were right, we said "OK, thanks for calling", then hung up on him -- All this from the office of a community church!
