The Match Game Live show hosted by Jimmy Pardo is being billed as the last show.

Said Scott Aukerman on the AST boards:
"Nelly Furtado coined the phrase, "All good things come to an end."  And so must Match Game Live.

As most of you know, Match Game is being turned back into a TV show, and the fine folks at Freemantle have asked us to stop doing our live version while they figure out what's going on with that.  Many of you know we have friends at Freemantle, who is producing.  And we not only have friends who are behind the scenes of that show, but our good friend Andy Daly is hosting.  So we've decided that we'll take some time off from Match Game for the foreseeable future.

So we've asked some of our favorite panelists to come back for one last blowout show.  Hopefully you can all make it despite the last minute notice."

Shame. But Pardo still has his "Running Your Trap" game he runs...

I got a chance to read all the posts, and they basically resurrected the old MG set for the MG pilot?!  (a la Ricki Lake Game Show Marathon)

I guess Fremantle is taking the cue that the viewing audience likes familiarity. The Feud set looks like a nice update of the classic set. Same shapes, but a new look. TPIR looks pretty much the same, so why not make MG look pretty much the same?

I think this is the first time, however, that Fremantle decided to keep EVERYTHING the same INCLUDING the classic set.

I am all for a raunchier MG as long as it's done right. The panelists shouldn't try to upstage each other (I'm looking at YOU Judy T) and the answers should be suitable for airing on TV. I'd also like to see a panel that actually BELONGS together, not just names picked out of a hat like MG 98.

Take this as you will, but a "reporter" (and I use that term loosely) from Hollywood Junket who attended the pilot taping said that one of the Super Match questions was : "Hilary Clinton is a ______" and the top answer was that term that's used for a female dog. By watching the video, it seems that the rules (and set) are untouched, but there's dirty answers a-plenty.

I just watched that video.  How one could get through it is amazing.
