Bonus trivia:  I can think of two pretty well-known examples of pop culture that were written in the second person.  Can anybody name them, or perhaps add to my short list?

Can't think of any offhand (other than if you consider Bright Lights, Big City "pop culture"), but I would just like to say I'm a big fan of second-person shooter games.

Okay, I'm ignorant. What is the difference between writing in 1st person and writing in 3rd person?[/quote]
I sentence you to two years of Latin.

For the record, second person is "you".
It's time to get really worried when he gets into the second person:

STEVE: Did you write a check to the phone company?

STOSH: I thought you were going to do it.

STEVE: We discussed this last week and you said you would do it.

STOSH: OK, I'll write the check but you call the plumber.

STEVE: Fine. Now let me speak to Stuart.

STOSH: I'll see if he's around.

The Choose Your Own Adventure series, for starters.

If you start a game show-related website, turn to page 57.
If you choose to make snarky comments about another person's game show-related website, turn to page 94.
