Jeopardy! Game Control Software
« on: August 24, 2008, 01:53:00 AM »
I was just randomly surfing the internet and I stumbled upon this new Jeopardy! game control.

http://jeopardygame.wordpress.com/skins/

PROS-
-IT'S FREE (unlike the control at decsoftware.com)
-You can use different skins for the gameboard
-The program controls the clues and scores
-Supports MP3 playback for audio clues and JPEGs for picture clues
-There's an option for smaller boards (there's a 4x5 board and and the 2x5 "quickie" board)

CONS-
-The skins are a bit complicated
-No option to play two rounds

This is still a very good free program. It was updated as recently as last week, so this may still be an ongoing project for the developer. I give it a solid B.
Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

Oh, yer making me blush. :) The two are apples and oranges. Mine's a virtual Jeopardy Challenger. This one is actually useful. :)

I have Stu's Double Jeopardy!  I have both used it and created a board for it.  Like you said, however, it doesn't have the option for two rounds, and it seems to install some crap somewhere in the WINDOWS folder, which makes it impossible to play from a flash drive on a protected computer.  Otherwise, I give it my recommendation.

(I've also created a buzzer lockout system for possible use with Jeopardy!, but it's not very user friendly yet.)
