For anyone who it may apply to, this is just a simple reminder that the Jeopardy! college tournament exam will begin at their website at 9 PM ET. You've got to register in advance, so hurry!

That was the first time I took the test, and that blew my mind. I don't know too many college students who would have even gotten half of those right. Maybe it was just me, but that material was along the difficulty of high end Double Jeopardy/ regular Tournament of Champions. Oh, well- time to start studying for the regular season test.

Anybody else think they posted a respectable score?

Fun Fact To Make You Feel Old: Syndicated Jeopeardy has allowed champs to play until they lose longer than they've retired them after five days.

I concur. The tests are always far more difficult than the show, which is a shame. A lot of that test was lacking the hallmark clues in Jeopardy writing. The bits of extra info that give viewers and contestants the correct question without having actually known the fact beforehand.

Here comes another year of not-so-cute female music majors and bespectacled science students. :)

When should people expect callbacks, potentially? Someone very close to me took the test, and the last thing I want is to see her hanging on to some empty hope past reasonable time.

She got an invitation to go to an audition date about three weeks later. However, someone on the Jeopardy! board claims to have already received his.

I think they tell you if you passed or not. Past that, it's just a matter of time waiting on the audition e-mail.

Right.

I still remember the first time I took the test back in '97 and how stunned I was about the difficulty of some of the questions. But I understood why they did that.

And I always tell people who want to try out- it ain't as easy as it looks. Study everything you can think of and then some.
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012
