Earlier this year, I posted photos of the new paintjobs on the TPIR props I use for my annual American Cancer Society show.

Well, the show was last night, and I'm happy to report that it was our biggest and best yet! We had close to 120 people in attendance and raised nearly $1,100 for the American Cancer Society!

The games played were Easy As 1-2-3, Lucky Seven, Secret X, Sammy's Savings Shack (Barkers' Bargain Bar), Plinko, and Range Game.

The highlights included a $12,000 Plinko winner, a $5,000 bonus on The Big Wheel, and spectacular Showcase win. The night's big winner took home $28,278 in fictional prizes, and over $1,100 in real prizes!

I'll begin planning "The SIXTH ANNUAL Game Show Night" just as soon as I can say the words "next year" around my mom without fear of injury!

Holy Friggin Cow, that was one heck of a set! And I'm sure the photos don't do the night justice as the sfx and music cues was the icing on the cake.

I have 3 semi trucks loaded with platinum stars en route to you for all of your effort!

Wow! That is truly a phenomenal job that you've done. Major kudos to you. I don't have any semi-trucks loaded with platinum stars... but I do offer a trailer full of gold stars!

The displays were just 5x7 dot matrix grids on poster board. They were colored in with a magic marker by a crew member.

If it weren't for their heights, I'd swear those were authentic backdrops...VERY nice work!

Excellent job! These things always require much more planning and just plain hard work and elbow grease behind the scenes than it would seem from watching the final product. That it looks so polished and effortless it a great tribute to you.

Well, we were very fortunate to have a great crew, most of whom have helped in the past.

Also, our announcer, who was joining us for the first year, just came back from Vegas where he saw the TPIR Live show, based his performance on Randy West's.

I've yet to see the DVD, but I've recieved tons of compliments from audience members. Once I get the DVD, I'll attempt to post some clips on YouTube.

Question:
Does the American Cancer Society operate in a similar fashion to the Red Cross; that is; each geographic region has its own "chapter"? Or is it just one big national operation? I may be interested in sending a donation. Thanks.

I believe the St. Louis office is responsible for the midwest, or "Heartland Region", as they used to call it.
