Are they all up for retirement or they just redesigning them? Seems that everything else is being redone.. even the numbers on the wheel which i thought were unnecessary, only because the change was very slight. Seems to be changing for the sake of just changing, which is not always a good idea.

The wheel actually went through a massive repainting (all of the black numbers were purple) and after Drew complained about how ugly it was (from the people I've heard have seen it, said it;s really bad) they took it out of comission for updating. There's even one episode where they used the TPIR Live wheel in its place.

And about BBB, read this...

Something tells me were going to see a show with a thinner lineup, less home furniture, and more cash, cars, and trips. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Well if it means a better percentage of prizes getting proper descriptions (Manufacturer, Model #, detailed description, etc...) than the generic "This Old-Time popcorn machine will wow your family and friends when you do your every 4-year pool party" scripts, then I'm for it.

Just out of curiosity, how many Pricing Games were in the Price Is Right stable in, say 1980?

By my count, including those that debuted in 1980, there were 40.

I think the wheel numbers look better now than they did before.

I believe the last time they had a prize that wasn't a car, trip or cash was a games package during the most recent Teen Best Friends Week. When was the last time before that? Sure, I, as a "hardcore" game show fan may get bored with that, but if the average viewer only cares about cash and cars...

My question is: If this focus on cash and cars that I alluded to in another thread is happening, how many games will remain? Of the 72 active games, only 26 are played for cars and another 5 are played for cash.

I just thought about something...if TPiR does do away with other gifts, that leaves no more games that give away the stereotypical game show gifts (i.e. the washer/dryer, refrigerator, etc.).

It's not something that would turn me off the show, just something I found interesting...

Showcases would get pretty boring if all they gave out was cars, cash and Fried Chicken....

Yeah, I know, but it's what popped into my head. And call me nuts, but that gimmick entertained me a little bit.

(I'd rather talk wresting than talk about how [Drew, TPIR, the new producers, the pricing game rotation, etc.] sucks for the umpteenth time.)

Does not approve.

Neither does he.

Doesn't entirely disagree.
