I don't like it as it stands.

Yes, and it's a pretty small nit to pick, I think.

It is a small nit that I'm picking. I never said it was the end of the world.

But what if it doesn't?  Oh dear, who's going to break this to Naomi Slodki?
I must say, I'm turned off by the recurring practice of game show "signals" being built into the actual game monitors. Happened with Crosswords, happens with Wheel and TP:AP, now J! seems to go down that road. Kinda cheapens the feel of the set IMO.
I'll agree that Wheel doesn't implement the idea well, but personally, I'm not offended by having the background of the display light up as Crosswords and Trivial Pursuit do.

I especially have no problem with doing it if they make it look like it's not all being done on one monitor, and since these new score displays create the illusion of two separate light boxes surrounding a name monitor (in fact, that's what I thought they were when I saw the first pictures), I'm all for it.

One more picture I just stumbled across- the new board all lit up and ready for play. Looks like they're using a bolder font for the dollar amounts.

Over at the Jeopardy! website's forum, a couple of posts mention something about Alex making his entrance through two sliding panels (similar to the '96-'02 set).  I don't see anything in the pictures I've viewed thus far.

Does anybody know where they are located?

Culver City?

(That's not snark: I'm still suggesting what they brought to CES is not the complete final set. When I see pictures of the set as set up on the Sony lot, I'll go from there.)

It would not surprise me if the "Tetris playing area" slides open for Alex to walk through.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

Yay, double post!

Kelly from the Clue Crew gives us a tour.

That big honkin' screen that seems to be placed odd is a permanent piece.

I'm surprised it didn't end with Trebek kicking Kelly out of his podium.

He can't kick Kelly out of his podium because he doesn't have one. He's only in charge of his lectern.
