Stu's Show 6/17

I completely forgot about today's LIVE Stu's Show with former TPIR (and G/T) employee Roger Dobkowitz.

Until I can catch a replay later in the week, were there any new revelations, clarifications, accusations, etc... about the goings on at the Bob Barker Studio?  Did they allow sufficient time for callers?   Did conversation go beyond TPIR and into Match Game and other Goodson-Todman involvements that Roger was a part of?  Is it worth listening to a replay later this week?

It is very much worth listening to. Although Roger could've been better with his mic technique, his stories were worth hearing. They really didn't do much with regards to callers' questions----I recall only hearing the Golden-Road.net webmasters. They did have a screener, nonetheless. It was mostly Stu asking Roger the questions, and he certainly had a lot.

With regards to other G-T work, they did go into that a little--particularly MG and NYSI. They also mentioned him being a "board boy" [my words, not theirs] on "Concentration" [Stu booked audiences for them???]. Roger did talk a bit about his opinions of Drew and the current state of the show. And yes, he did discuss his departure.

Stu was afraid that he wouldn't have time to get to many e-mails or phone calls, but he also told me (and mentioned on air) that Roger has agreed to come back another time, at which point Stu plans to devote much more attention to questions from his listening audience.

I didn't get to listen to the whole interview (I only ended up catching the last 30 minutes) - did he talk about his return to television?

If I'm reading Stu's schedule correctly, Roger's show will be repeated from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Pacific time through next Tuesday, June 23.

Those sound like the Central times to me.

They are - the Live365 calendar adjusts automatically based on the time zone it detects from your web browser.

There is no automatic time zone detection; you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and manually select your time zone. The default is eastern time. A bloody stroke of genius if you ask me, putting the schedule at the top of the page with NO INDICATION that you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to manually configure the time zone.

The true times for Roger's replays are:

1 pm Hawaii-Aleutian

2 pm Alaskan

3 pm Pacific

4 pm Mountain

5 pm Central

6 pm Eastern

SEE CORRECTED CORRECTED TIMES BELOW.

Unless you live in one of those wacky-ass states that does not observe daylight saving time, in which case you can figure it out for yourself!

See, now if I had tuned in at 6 pm Saturday expecting to hear Roger, I would have missed it and I would have been damned pissed.

Check the times again. Yes, Live365 does have an automatic time zone detector which does work, but below it is a drop-down list which has the Eastern time zone selected as the default, and this selection OVERRIDES the automatically-detected time zone. IN ADDITION, the user must manually compensate for daylight savings times; thus, Pacific time is GMT -7 due to DST rather than GMT -8.

It pays to hire geniuses.

Here are the really real correct times:

2 pm Hawaii-Aleutian

3 pm Alaskan

4 pm Pacific

5 pm Mountain

6 pm Central

7 pm Eastern
