...And judging by the posts, it looks like nobody has received "The Call" yet.

Out of the ten or so of us who got thru the phone quiz, how many are still in the running for callbacks next week?

From those who didn't to those who still might, we wish you all the best!

I'm waiting for mine on Monday 7/20. The suspense has been killing me...getting the call would absolutely fulfill a dream I've had ever since I first watched the show 10 years ago!

Well, Andrea and I didn't make it...

But my friend Robert Brown did!

For those who listen to Game Show Talk & Fun, Robert's one of our reigning Game Show Olympics champions. There's a pic of him on my site if you go into the Sonic Fanfiction section. He's coming down in the morning for me the sign the waivers for me being a Phone a Friend.

He tapes on the 31st. Wish him luck, guys.

(PS: WHOO! 200TH POST! Great finish to an awesome Otakon weekend.)

Yeah, my father didn't make it, but I will be serving as a PAF for someone who did, so we'll see how that goes.

Congratulations to your friend, Sonic.  I hope he does us proud.  AND wins oodles of money.

Nice to have someone to root for...you know, and not just finding the hottest guy and rooting for him as I usually do.  ;-)

Please ask him to not make any goofball faces or gestures at the camera upon introduction. A simple smile and/or wave is sufficient. Thank you.

My cell phone didn't even ring today... not even a nanosecond of wondering "Could it be them calling?"  Sigh.

I'll pass that along, Don, but understand that in doing so, Robert is goofy enough that he probably WILL do it now because you asked him not to. I've known the guy for 12 years, and that's just how he rolls.

And no, it's too late to take it back.

In my business, we have a name for a person like that.

That name is "douchebag."

/I never said it was unique to my business

There's something to be said for someone who marches to his own drummer, flouts convention and doesn't give a flying fig what other people think of him.

Yeah, yeah, I know. "Douchebag."

Whoa... guys, take it easy. That's not what I meant at all. It's not a question of Robert trying to tee off anyone. He's not like that. If you knew him and his general personality as I have, you'd understand.

Just leave at that and go with me on this. Trust me.

If his personality is to do something directly opposite a sincere request for the sake of flaunting that request, I'm sticking with "douchebag."
