To most people that is minutia.  WOF is on a good number of CBS affils, there's a CBS Television Dist. logo at the end of the show, that can lead to people thinking it has a connection to CBS.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Yes, I understand why the confusion arises.  But when someone states to an online audience that a syndicated program airs "on CBS," this spawns further confusion (and points many readers toward the wrong stations).

Incidentally, it is correct to state that "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune" have a connection to CBS (the corporation, not the network).  As you noted above, they're distributed by CBS Television Distribution (due to the CBS acquisition of King World).

He also originally had #5 spelled "Chuck Wolery."
Everyone knows the correct spelling is Wollery.

I cannot believe Dick Clark is not on the countdown.  I thought he would be on that countdown for sure.

Yes. One scholar's comments offer a list of seventeen names which should have been included within "The Top 13".
But, what the hey, there are 11 teams in The Big Ten.

Not sure, but I do know that the announcer for the pilot of Family Fued was Johnny Olsen.

In the original printing of Harry Eisenberg's book about Jeopardy, there are references to Pat Sajack and comedian John Stewart.

That's all I've got.

Reminds me, I gotta get Rolfed tomorrow. Benirschke's not in the top 13?

Is there NOTHING that Matt does not know?!

Page 323 from that new book:
... Johnny voiced the pilot episode that featured members of the Speir household
feuding with the Madvig clan, but Gene Wood was cast to announce the series
because Johnny’s schedule was full. The veteran announcer may be considered
lucky that other work precluded his participation, as by all accounts, Family Feud
became one of the more contentious sets during some difficult years of friction
between Richard Dawson and Producer Howard Felsher...

If you've watched Illinois try to play football this year, you'd know that last sentence is false.

Okay, I apologize for my flippant generalization. But my point meant to be that the body of work of veterans of the industry because so little footage exsists. For example, Dennis James rarely gets mentioned among the all-time greaats despite the fact that he was hosting since television's very beginning and he was the other host of The New Price is Right.

Now, you kids get off my lawn.

One could argue (even one who's not quite fifty) that Dennis James doesn't deserve to be named among the all-time greats just because he happened to have been around from the beginning.  You probably could have picked a better example.  I have a website dedicated to one, for instance.
