Last night, a radio host at Rás 2, one of Iceland’s state run radio stations shocked listeners all across the country as she fainted during a live broadcast. She was in the middle of reading questions in an exciting match between two teams in Gettu betur, an annual quiz show in which Iceland’s colleges compete. The radio host, named Gunna Dís, happened to be covering for Edda Hermannsdóttir, the show’s host the second year running, who had come down with the flu.
