The new bunch has been announced.  It's probably worth noting that I am typically very, very GOOD at pop culture stuff (even the current stuff) and I only recognized seven of the twelve names.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

I have a feeling this is going to be the last season of "The Newlywed Game" on GSN.

Thank Cheese I'm not doing a Packer blog any more, or with Donald Driver as one of the contestants, I'd have to watch the damn thing.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

I recognized 10 of them (don't know Fegan or Levy)- Katherine Jenkins a surprise to me, because she's a pretty well known celeb in the UK, so doing the US version of the show is unusual (I guess she wants to get into the US market)..and we have 2 GS connections this time- one current (Shepherd) and one future (Jaleel White is hosting a GS called Total Blackout for SyFy in April)...

I had six. Was Driver your seventh?

No.  Given that the other six are reasonably well-known to late Boomers, even if it's just as the answer to a trivia question (hello, Urkel!) I'm going to guess that Maria Menounos was my seventh.

I knew 9, 10 if I count that I guessed which of the three remaining was the obligatory Disney Channel star.

I've been done with the show for about five years now- there's only so many times I can watch the foxtrot.

Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

Why's that?

Counted seven I had heard of, though I couldn't pick them out of a line-up or anything.

8 for me. Still a random bunch...but aren't they all?
