Most likely they've just done a linear 200 episode lease, and will cycle back a couple of weeks after the Larsen episodes air (those episodes were numbered in the high 180s if memory serves)
Has GSN ever aired the Larson episodes as the two half-hour episodes they originally were (i.e., outside of the documentary)?
They did on Thanksgiving (or some holiday) one year, IIRC.

They also aired them at least once in the regular rotation.

Actually, since the question asked if they've 'ever' aired them as opposed to 'usually' airing them, the answer is a firm "yes".  /pedant

I seem to remember that GSN consistently skipped the Larson shows until the documentary aired and consistently aired them afterward.

I do remember one instance of them skipping the episodes in regular rotation because they were re-airing the documentary either that same day or within the next couple of days.

If I remember the documentary correctly, weren't the Larson episodes forbidden from air until 2003, when the documentary came out?

At the GSC in 2006, Bob Boden did state those episodes were pulled from the rotation until the Big Bucks documentary was ready for air.  After it aired, they did pop up in regular rotation a few times.

The 1983-early 1984 episodes may be slow, but at least the round 2 boards back then had plenty of money to offer compared to the cheaper ones throughout 1986.

Anyways, I am very, very, excited about this.

I suppose I could wait until the episodes air, but at what point do the contestants get into the "Big Bucks!  No Whammies!" mantra?  (The first time I saw the series was about five or six weeks into the run, but don't really remember if they were doing it by then either.)

Does the fact that people were awarded slightly more cash for hitting a button and winning a cookie 29 years ago as opposed to 26 years ago really make a lick of difference when watching the footage of said button-pressing today?

My only concern is the GSN HD showing: For the past several weeks, GSN HD never artificially stretched anything that aired from 5:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. pacific, except, for some reason, Karn Feud at 6:30 a.m. pacific.

The ridiculously obvious answer:  Then watch the SD feed.

While I'm glad they're airing from the premiere, those episodes were definitely slower than the later episodes.
I've seen the first episode on YouTube...talk about an editing mess.  The board goes haywire a couple time, too.

200 would be two weeks after Larsen.

And conveniently, if they ever do another 200-episode lease after this one, there are almost exactly 200 episodes from Nov 1985 - Spet 1986 that would fit perfectly to finish out the show.
