Shenanigans. Why would Barker be arsed to look at a script?
To sign it, obviously.
Yeah, but I don\'t care if Joe Montana signs a baseball, either.
It\'s not a script for Bob, it\'s a script for the camera and production crew. Bob had a board just offstage to look at to remind him of the game lineup, plus cue cards placed above the camera lens to remind him of the next game to be played, and where it\'s played. I suspect these cue cards also listed how many games were won and lost, since Bob liked to mention it from time to time.
I was figuring it was Rod\'s script, with all his prize copy in it.
And I would assume there would be similar blanks later on for the names of the fifth through ninth contestants to be called, correct?
No, unlike the front page, they would print those on the fly and run them out to Rod during commercial breaks.
/seriously?
It could also be the script the director gets which wouldn\'t have the contestant names filled in. The subsequent pages would be marked with camera shots, etc. Marc Breslow gave me a copy of his script long ago, but my mother probably threw it out.
