I second this motion! Yet I keep on hearing rumors about how viewers shouldn\'t hold their breath on it because it\'s a \"complicated situation.\" Assuming the rumors are true, I wonder if that situation goes beyond the fact that they have to go through two parties to get the rights (Fremantle & Hasbro).

Speaking as someone who has had to deal with Hasbro professionally: trust me, that\'s plenty enough.

I\'d imagine you go through that with more than a few companies, no?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Like anything, some are easy to work with, and some aren\'t. Hasbro is one of the more anal ones when it comes to controlling how their intellectual property is presented.

Very nice that Uncle Bill will be seen on GSN on a regular basis. As for STYD, I\'m glad it\'s Pat Finn\'s version and not JD Roberto\'s. I never saw syndie SOTC so I\'ll be watching that too.

Somewhere down the line, if Scrabble and Supermarket Sweep become part of GSN\'s schedule, I won\'t complain.

Here\'s where I fume that mediacom doesn\'t even offer GSN on any package.  Anyone else out there in the same boat? We get RFD but not a top 40 network ...

I love how you call it \"a top 40 network\" because it cracked #40 once or twice.

Also to note: GSN http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2013/11/15/gsn-acquires-episodes-of-long-running-popular-game-show-shop-til-you-drop-to-premiere-on-monday-dec-2-818211/20131115gsn01/\'>officially announced their Shop \'Til You Drop acquisition this afternoon. They don\'t note what time period the episodes come from, but note Dee Baker as co-host in the release.

Sounds like PAX era, so 2000?

Or did Dee do the Family Channel version too?

He also did the Family Channel version replacing Jason Grant Smith in 1997. Boy are we glad that Dee replaced Jason.

I for one echo the sentiment. Jason was boring.

Yes, this is a bit confusing. The press release makes it sound like they\'ll be airing the PAX episodes, but the episode guide makes it sound like they\'re starting from the Lifetime era. Am I missing something here?

A post last week on GSN\'s official facebook page uses a screencap which appears to be from the PAX era (based on the grayish flooring used on set in the picture).

The screenshot is definitely from the PAX era (the Lifetime and Family Channel versions had white floors with various patterns), but that still doesn't necessarily mean they acquired the PAX version -- the picture could be from the 2000 episode they paid to show back in 2006.
