Johnny Carson miniseries in the works!

Today\'s edition of USA Today, mentioned that NBC is working on a miniseries based on a forthcoming book by Bill Zehme.

It\'s not an addendum to The Late Shift but it still sounds intriguing. Someone suggested Dana Carvey...on one hand I like it, on the other hand, it sounds so........1996.

The problem is that people wouldn\'t be able to separate it from when he did Johnny on SNL, which is a shame because I don\'t think I can think of a better Carson impression in the business.

NBC is in a throwback mood of sorts.  Along with doing a miniseries, they\'re also going to do a live production of The Sound of Music starring Carrie Underwood.  I\'m interested to see this Carson series.  I\'m not really old enough to remember him well, but watching his old stuff has made me wish I was.
