Someone else makes a joke y'all laugh. I make a joke, I get lambasted.
You didn't make a joke. You "third joke'd" to spell out the intent of the earlier jokes. We didn't need it beaten over our heads that partridges, etc., were being referenced.

Rare that I agree with Chad on anything but he's right. It wasn't the attempt at the joke, it was that the joke had already been made (and you quoted it too). No need to repeat facts already in evidence if you don't have to.

I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

With that title, it sounds like it should be a limited-run series around Christmastime.

That was the "joke"? Sounded like an opinion to me.

Not our fault that you failed to read intent or the room, for that matter.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Your post, in its entirety. The joke you missed is bolded.

With that title, it sounds like it should be a limited-run series around Christmastime.
If they do a celebrity edition, they should include Danny Bonaduce and author Harry Turtledove.

Will we see calling birds, French hens, and a partridge in a pear tree?

Which is why I didn't mention turtle doves..I was adding the rest in. #can'twin I'd rather thirdjoke a post than be serious all the time. I've had my fair share of seriousness in life.

You only live twice. Once when you are born, and once when you stare death in the face. Life's too short to be serious all the time.

Putting other people down just for making jokes is a sign of mediocrity in itself. I'm not flaming other members or using non-PG language. We should all live in peace here and not judge others for their opinions or jokes.

I do this all of the times. So does everybody. Whether or not I act upon it is another matter entirely.

/Host choices are Tom Brady and John Elway, but we'll be subjected to Howie Mandel.

I would think Ryan Seacrest would be NBC's first choice, no?

I was riffing on the five rings element--since Idol is no longer airing I suppose they could give it to Ryan.

The idea sounds interesting (then again I enjoyed Power of Ten) but I presume they'll bungle it.

I think you're taking this a little too seriously. Folks calling out a bad joke is exactly that...you got called out for a bad joke or for letting it sail over your head, I dunno...I checked out of this thread a while ago. You're not the first or the last. Just let it go.

I would think Ryan Seacrest would be NBC's first choice, no?

After the debacle that was "Million Second Quiz," no.  That show was bad for both NBC and Ryan.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Hey, now.  MSQ didn't do any permanent damage to NBC, and I'm not sure Seacrest's stock has fallen significantly either. (Also--stipulating that the game and its production was far from perfect--working on that show was the most fun I've ever had with clothes on.)
