For those of you Keystoners, it is pretty much the same game ticket that the Pennsylvania Lottery had about 2-3 years ago, except the area where you 'reveal' the board letters is different.

Though I have only won $2 on the Ohio WOF to date, I hit for $25 and $100 on PA's WOF back in the day.

I've found my new lucky game. I bought another single ticket. Again, I won $10. Why couldn't this luck have happened yesterday with the Super Millionaire callbacks? :-)

Lucky You! I'm an Ohioan too and I've bought two a day for the last few days and have won nothing. I usually don't play the lottery, but since this is the Ohio Lottery's 1st GS ticket, then I feel obligated to buy them

It just adds to my game show fascination, it gives me a reason to buy them.
I'll keep trying to win big

I guess all of my non-winners are going into that second chance drawing so I can maybe win some Wheel stuff or that audition.

Well, good luck, but remember, all Ohio Lottery players are subject to the commission's rules and regulations -- and for this game, I noticed that you have to be 18 years of age in order to win.

Iffin I can recall the OH Lottery WOF Brochure, (which includes a handy-dandy self-addressed envelope to play the second chance game with,) I believe each person cand send in only ONE entry and ONE entry only, which consists of 2 non-winning WOF tix.

Not a bad rule...It gives us 'casual' players a chance to compete against the old-timers who blow their kids inheritances at $200 a week without batting an eye!

BTW, are ALL the affiliates of the Ohio Lottery Cash Explosion Show the same affiliates who also carry Wheel during the week?

Coincidentally, I have several WoF pamphlets here at my computer desk, all sans envelopes since I sent in some entries earlier this week.

The pamphlet says that one entry (2 losing tickets) is allowed per envelope, entries are valid for one drawing only, and a single winner can't win more than 3 WoF prize packs per drawing and only 1 grand prize during the promotion. Since you can win up to 3 prize packs per drawing, you aren't limited to one entry per drawing. No upper ceiling of entries per person is mentioned.

I don't know if many old-timers, especially those with a limited income and likely little patience, would take the time to watch WoF (if they don't already), fill out the reverse of the tickets, spend their lotto money on postage, and then drive to the post office.

No. Dayton and Youngstown don't have a single channel that doesn't air both WoF and Cash Explosion.

For the first time I heard on the radio today the new Ohio Lottery :60 radio spot promoting the new WOF instant game. Not a bad little ditty...

Charlie 'O' voices the whole commercial (I don't believe he actually mentioned who he was, but it definitely was Charlie.

It almost sounded as if *every* WOF sound effect was used somewhere in the spot, including the "Wheel......Of......Fortune" chant... Woulda been even better if Charlie got to say it in his trademark style instead. :-P

Nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable spot.

There's now a 30 second WOF spot w/ Charlie O (I heard in a network slot on a Cleveland Indians broadcast). Thankfully they didn't go overboard with the SFX on this version (only the puzzle notes and the final spin clang are used).

This afternoon, I noticed some local lottery retailers have some pieces of advertising behind their lottery counters with Vanna in front of the WoF logo used on the tickets. IIRC, this display piece is used to hold the lottery's pamphlets about the game. I haven't seen any TV ads for the WoF ticket but I'm sure Ohioans will see TV spots in due time.

While at one of the retailers, I bought more tickets. I found my new favorite ticket. I bought 4 tickets ($8 worth) and got winners worth $2 and $40, and another second chance drawing entry (2 losers).

I Wonder how easy is it to get the displays from the retailers after the promotional period has ended...They would make a nice little deskpiece.

Sadly, you may be...I remember when I was younger (here he goes again) asking for beer promotion pieces and being told I couldn't have them because of some obscure state law that said they had to be either destroyed or returned to the distributor. Then again, I may just have been obnoxious and he made it up to get rid of me.

Seriously, state laws being what they are, they may have such a stupid rule. Doesn't hurt to ask, tho.
