I have no practice on these things. The first time around, I wasn't eligible because I worked for AT&T. Now I'm good and unemployed and able to try out. Unfortunately I wrote the answers down not in the order I got them, but the order they should have been in. Then I couldn't remember which one was which.

Better luck tomorrow!

Well, I got knocked out on the fourth question, but I'm not sure why.

Put the following events in London history in chronological order, starting with the earliest

1 - The Great Fire
2 - Tower of London built
3 - First subway built
4 - the Black Death

I'm about 95% sure I put 2-4-1-3, which after checking should be right
1 - 1666
2 - 1066
3 - around 1870, near as I can tell
4 - 1665

Anyone else get this one?

I got to Q3, which was about placing dances in chronological order, based on their introduction.

My sister tried qualifying as well.  Let's just say she won't make the show soon.  Instead of punching the numbers in with the keypad, she said the numbers.  While making dinner, I heard "3 2 1 4!" from the other room.  I told her she had to punch the answer in.  By the time I told her, the 10 seconds expired.

Oh that hurts. God it hurts.

Made it to question 5.

Put these 4 monuments in order of their dedication, starting with the earliest.

1) Mt. Rushmore
2) Iwo Jima Memorial
3) Crazy Horse Memorial
4) Vietnam Veterans Memorial

I enter 3-1-2-4

"I'm Sowwy, That is an incorrect answer"

Whoops. I mixed up 1 and 3 as the correct batch is:

1)1925
3)1948
2)1954
4)1982

5 more chances for greatness. I did this almost each and every time on the previous phone games, too. Hit 4 or 5 and just bomb horribly.

I'm so glad that mushmouth is gone. I felt more comfortable with Tom's reading as he was clear, concise and didn't ask me put these GUFERBLS in order starting with the ERLAtiest.

Ag! I made it to the fifth question!

"Place these novels in order of their country of origin, starting with the Atlantic Ocean, and going east:

1) One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich
2) Catcher In The Rye
3) Quo Vadis
4) Shogun

I had no clue, but I guessed they were as follows: 1) Russia, 2) England 3) Greece (Rome was close enough, apparently) 4) Japan, so I went with 2-3-1-4.

...and now that I know that Catcher was set in the US, I realize my error. Ah well. It was exciting, tho! :)

I missed on the first question, about some 1994 Mexico revolution thing.
The countdown to 100 ended awhile ago, why are you still here?

Well, I finally got approved to be on this board.  :)  Hello to all.

I blew it on the first question.  LOL  but my boyfriend answered all 5 and qualified on the first shot.  We picked the first tape date.  Now all we have to do is beat 10,000 to 1 odds that they actually call him.  :)  At least there's no second qualification this time.   If we get the call on Thursday, I'll post.  Btw, did anyone see me on Dateline NBC on Friday night?  ;)

Supposedly missed a Roy Rogers question here. I forget what his nickname was, The King of (something) ...I entered 1324 and know I was right but it said I wasn't. Anyways, it was my first question. Oh well, try again Tuesday.

Argh. These are much tougher than times past.

I had the question mentioned above about farm animals, which was deceptively easy.

My third question, which I blew, was this:

Novels (earliest released to recent)

1. Love Story
2. Dr. Zhivago
3. Sophie's Choice
4. The Joy Luck Club

Which proves that these questions are only easy when you know all four answers. I didn't know when Sophie's Choice was made or released as a movie, and I had never heard of Love Story. I went by movie release dates for the rest and said 2-1-4-3. The correct answer, after research, flips the last two.

Post your questions, folks!

Just got finished with my call; I missed my second question, which was something like:

Put these artists in order of their first Billboard Top Ten hit, starting with the most recent.

1) New Kids On The Block
2) Nelly Furtado
3) Juice Newton
4) Britney Spears

My wrong answer was 2-4-3-1.

If I'd been allowed a Double Dip, I'd have gone with 2-4-1-3 (IOW, Juice hit before NKOTB, not after)... or was I wrong about Nelly and Britney, too?

I had no problems with the instructions and the reading of the questions, even though I used my home speakerphone. (I prefer to use my headset-equipped phone in work (lucky for me, I'm usually still working when the lines open @ 4 PM PT), but in prior years I've played the phone game from pay phones in a restaurant, at a highway rest stop, and even in a casino in Reno.)

Well, I missed my first (and probably best) chance at getting on the show.  I missed my third question which asked for the events of the Watergate scandal in order.

Even if I do make it through any of these calls, I still have a thousands-to-one chance to get on the show.  Sigh.

I guess we're all crapping out here.  I caught three out of five, but got waxed trying to order four New Jersey cities in geographical order.  For $10 million, I'd make 'em hard, too.
In case anyone wants to qualify for the show, the hotline is available beginning at 7 PM EST & runs untill 3 AM EST each day through Tuesday February 24.  Good luck.
I got knocked out on query one on this a question related to Napoelon and these choices:

1. Of
2. Grand
3. Warsaw
4. Duchee

I chose 4-1-2-3

I realized as soon as I typed those in, it should have been 2-4-1-3.

Oh well...try again tomorrow!

I got knocked out on Question 3 myself, and I'm not quite sure why.

The question had to do put the following groups in chronological order of when they had their first #1 hit:

1) Wilson Phillips
2) Boyz II Men
3) Aerosmith
4) Culture Club

I answered 3-4-1-2 because I figured Aerosmith had a #1 hit back in the 70's and I know that Wilson Phillips were #1 with Hold On in 1990 before Boyz II Men came around in 1991.  But I'm starting to think that maybe Aerosmith didn't get a #1 hit until after Culture Club...

Trick question!!!  Aghghgh
