On a Fox special months back called "TV's Naughtiest Blunders from Around the World", they showed a few clips from "Bullseye" in which the host went on some brief R-rated rants about how sick and tired he's doing the show, how one contestant couldn't hear him, and why a sound effect didn't come in on cue all while flipping the bird!

Now before you start complaining, this was the British version that involved darts and the host was Jim Bowen; it was NOT related to that other Bullseye we're familiar with. Hmmm...I couldn't imagine Jim Lange closing his show with "Here's everything you're going for hits the (bleep)ing Bullseye!"

Here, we already know about Alex Trebek mouthing off and drinking a beer while doing Phone Jeopardy promos. And on a German $ale of the Century, the host screwed up and broke into English going "No, I'm wrong; I'm (bleep)ing wrong!"

Were there any other foul-mouthed hosts like the ones I've covered?

I'm having trouble thinking of ANY host I've worked with who didn't have their moments of frustration that were accompanied by a few choice words.

On the other side of the coin, I remember Ryan Seacrest as being very mellow and able to "go with the flow" during some difficult tapings. But then again he was only 19 at the time - it was still very new and exciting, and he wasn't at all jaded.

Joe G.'s was a blown take during a Nonesuch Mincemeat commercial, which was aired by mistake.  He did make an apology on the next day's "$ale" and on the "Today" show, on which he was a regular at the time.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

On P+, in a fit of frustration during game play Vicki Lawrence told everyone within earshot, including a studio audience of 300, "Don't anybody f**k with me!" Days later, a memo arrived from the NBC Broadcast Standards* department advising us to advise our celebrities that although such language can be taken out of the tape, it might offend people in the studio audience. After that we were very diligent about so advising our celebrities -- NOT!

*Broadcast Standards were the censors, the foul-language police. Compliance and Practices were the game police and sat with stop watches to make sure that all six fee plugs ran not one second over 42 seconds.

Ben Stein -He was known to use the F word on the show fairly frequently.

Bob Barker - Perhaps not a huge foulmouth. In fact, I can only think of twice on tpir that he swore. Once during the Shell Game available at the GS Theatre, ("Everybody knows the damn things not there!") The other when the director kept calling to stop tape. ("What the hell's the damn holdup now???" (this was met with wild cheers from the audience, btw))

Dick Clark - I was told that in an interview, he used the F word twice.

Regis Philbin - He's let off a few hells and damns on Millionaire before.

Mark Curry - Obviously.

Tom Burgeron - "Well, I guess that Emmy nomination's shot to s--- now, isn't it?"

Drew Carey - (Host of Whose Line is it Anyway?. Does that count?) He's gone on his share of torrent's in the past. Especially on the "Bill Cosby and Hitler" episode.

That's all I can think of right now.

From watching one of Dick Clark's Bloopers/Practical Jokes shows, Jim Perry on $ale (paraphrased):

"Welcome! Today we will...(lights dim)...find someone to pay the light bill. (bleep)" (cue $ale buzzer)

In the harmless curse categories, I've heard a few hells come from Gene Rayburn, Richard Dawson, and Ray Combs.
"It wasn't like this on Tic Tac Dough...Wink never gave a damn!"

I was never a witness to this first hand...... but based on what we know about him I bet Richard Dawson mouthed off on a few occasions.

In the School Riot episode of MG, it looks like when Richard gets buzzed, he mouths the f word. I'm not sure though.

Ancient British hellraising Falstaffian actor Brian Blessed hosted the short-lived but very clever Nexus game show on the small .tv channel and apparently amiably effed, blinded and generally blued the air throughout the production. It would have been rather out of character for him not to have done so, though.

With all due respect, what exactly is obvious about it?

Well, he hosted a show on Comedy Central, and he is a comedian who was often on Comedy Central, so obviously, he would cuss quite a bit, even if it is mostly hells, damns, asses and bastards.

Well, while still idiotic, that's miles better than the answer I was expecting.

I can think of several dozen comics who have appeared on Comedy Central who have uttered nary an obscenity.

Point well taken. But watch a tape of him on DFYT, and you'll see he mouths off quite a few choice words.

Not a host, but comedian George Carlin, who was once on the "Game Game" had a routine where......oh never mind.  Actually, rent the movie "Semi-Tough" for some choice dialogue by Bert Convy.  Jim McKrell's in that movie too, but he doesn't say any naughty words.
