A friend of mine, and a member here at the Invision Boards (Jim, LetsGoMets2003) has always strived to be a good announcer. He's even taken some tips from me, the master. ;-)
However, both him and I know that he still has quite a ways to go before he becomes the next Randy West. Because of that, one day I decided to throw together a compilation of his "Greatest" or should I say "
Not-So-Greatest" moments. It's basically a funny montage and compilation of clips from Jim's TPIR Announcing Demos he's sent me, set to outlandish Polka music. Both him and I found it absolutely hilarious, and we hope you do too.
Jim would like to say " I apologize to Brandon, Tammy, Randy, Dan Rosen, and anyone else who cringes when hearing this."
However, this was about a year back, and Jim has gotten better, THANKFULLY.
Just so you know, Jim approved this post, so don't jump on me like I'm slandering him. It's all out of fun.
And if that's not enough! One of the members of the Yahoo group, the "GST Emporium", Jim Williams, loved the clip so much, he made a parody of it! And Jim also did the voice-overs. It's a 2 CD sales pitch from the friendly folks at Ronco! Enjoy the "Cheesy Announcing-Fest!"
With some luck, Jim's going to be well on his way to becoming the next "William Hung"!
