Great add John! A very classy way to end a run of a show. A shame more programs dont get that kind of treatment.

The music at the end was interesting, though. Didnt sound like any of TJW music I had heard before. What piece was that?

It was called Joker's Jive (by Alan Thicke); it was used from 1974-1975, and the first year of the syndie version, before the whistle theme.

Oh by the way, here is a good-quality MP3 of the theme.

3 seasons, 686 CBS telecasts of true Joker's Wild entertainment. A magnificent clip, indeed, JRJ. Thanks.

And how fitting you include the clip, on the 20th anniversary of Jack Barry's tragic demise.

Given a chance to redeem himself of The 1950s Game Show Scandals, Jack Barry delivered in spades with the 3 seasons of The Joker's Wild on CBS (September 4, 1972 - June 13, 1975). He took a mere slot machine from Las Vegas and turned it into an icon of television culture to be endeared for years to come.

Thanks again, JRJ.

Listening to this end theme and this might be a stretch.... doesn't it sound a LITTLE like the end theme from TJW 90? Joker Jive is certainly much less repetitive and much less monotonous, but I did detect some similarities.

I think I have both "Jive" and TJW90 posted up at UP.  And they don't sound the same to me.

Thanks, John! Those clips are excellent!

[and being half of Yahtzee's entire fanbase, I enjoyed that one too :-)]

Awesome! I've been looking for a good quality Joker's Jive file for a long while now.  Thanks a bunch!

I dont want to hijack this thread but I have a quick question.  The Easy Money clip had a clip from Whew and the villians had the numbers in a cartoon bubble besides their mouths- for the life of me I thought the number was on their arm that would impede your way (ie the 10th villian had a 10 on her crystal ball)  Am I crazy?

I believe the numbers were moved from one position to another during the run of the show--when and in which order I don't remember.

You're not crazy, and I NEVER remember the Villiains having their numbers in a bubble, they were always on the arm that impeded the player's progress.

Maybe that clip came from a pilot? Did that guy look like Jack Campion? ;)
