Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

I think we have a more reliable source than WMGX(or two or three better sources) on this board to know what is up with this lawsuit, if they can say anything as to whether it's the truth or not.

Well at least we know now that Bob Barker is an equal opportunity employer; he gropes everyone.

This differs from the account in one of the tabloids that says only that Claudia is "planning to sue", with no mention of an actual lawsuit having been filed yet.

 Hahahaha... not.

That source is not accurate.  Bob did not harass Claudia.

Just out of curiosity, do you know that to be a fact, or are just saying that?

I know because I had talked with Claudia earlier today.  I hadn't heard anything of it until she had mentioned it to me early this afternoon.

So then there is no lawsuit?

In respect to Claudia's privacy, I would prefer not to delve too much into the issue, or at least not until I got word from her to do so... not that I have all the answers currently, anyway.  I mostly, here, wanted to help clear up Bob's name in the matter, who should not have been mentioned, period.

I do not know who else she may or may not have talked to on the matter; she may have given someone else a go.  Until that point, though, I would prefer to say as little as possible, to try to "protect" Bob here, if you will.

Claudia has been quoted in the press as saying Barker allegedly harassed her. So either the publication fabricated those quotes or they didn't; in the latter case her statement is now a matter of public record.

The Press is probably correct. Of course all involved are going to attempt Damage Control. Nobody wants to look like the bad guy. However the truth will always come out in the end.

You know, the press isn't always right. They make mistakes too! :-)

If Claudia didn't make the statements attributed to her in this particular publication, they've just set themselves up for a libel suit. That could be a very expensive "mistake" and you don't stay in business long making them.

And let it be said that the Enquirer nowadays double-checks *everything.*  They got burned once by that Carol Burnett lawsuit and don't want to get burned again.

This Jack Shafer column from Slate, even if off topic, is very interesting, especially since it was written in the wake of that Pew study about media trust.  I don't know if it'll change your view on the Enquirer (especially since Shafer admits to the paper's general sleaziness), but it's worth looking at.
