Jeopardy questions

Earlier this week, Alex made mention of the fact that when Jeopardy started, there was a limit of $75,000, and then later $100,000, with any money won beyond that, going to a charity of the contestant's choice. This made me wonder:

1. When did the limit go from $75,000 to $100,000?

and

2. When was the limit abolished all together?

1991. It was increased to $200,000 in 1997.

The Monday after Thanksgiving 2001, with the arrival of the enhanced dollar values on the board of answers.

 It was in 1990, shortly after SPangenberg's $100K+ five-show run, that the $100K limit took effect.

It was in 1990, shortly after SPangenberg's $100K+ five-show run, that the $100K limit took effect. [/quote]
 On second thought, the limit was increased in 1990. I was busy watching The Challengers that season anyway.
