Another thought: which GS themes spun off into the best musical cues (for wins, bonus game transitions, commercial outros, etc)?

I vote for:
- YDS '75
- Marshall HS (original, which had a nice big band-style flourish at the end)
- TJW
- Wipeout (bonus win)

Chuck Donegan (The Illustrious "Chuckie Baby")

Reviving this old thread so I don't start a new one, my favorites are:

Jackpot (All 3 versions, but '74 is my overall fav)

7X and 90 versions of Match Game

$25,000 and $100,000 Pyramids

Original Card Sharks

Wordplay

Original PYL

Original Chain Reaction

Go! (Hey, what can I say, it grabs ya!  One of those once you get it in your head it won't leave)

Newlywed Game

Deal or No Deal (both NBC's version by Groove Addicts, and the ABC version by Russ Landau, which you can check out by going to his website (just Google for him))

And, my least favorites:

$10,000 Pyramid

All but the current Trebek Jeopardy! versions

Current Feud

Michael Burger's Match Game

Win Lose or Draw

All-Star Blitz

Best: (No particular order)
- $25,000+ Pyramid
- TTTT 90
- Jeopardy, Trebek era (Particularly the first version. There was someone who mentioned upthread not liking that they cut off the first half of the first section, but I liked the sparing use of the very beginning, because the opening couple measures in particular worked to build a tension. The current orchestration is good as a closing theme, but I don't particularly like the new intro and having the first verse of the main theme playing under the contestant introductions.)
- Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour
- Family Feud '70s
- Blockbusters 80

Honorable mentions:
- Best recent theme: Russian Roulette
- Great song, not so great game show theme: Tuning Up and The Savers

Worst: (No particular order)
- Card Sharks 86
- Hot Potato
- Whammy
- Hollywood Squares, Whoopi era ("I Love Hollywood" and "Square Biz")

Best cues:
- Password Plus: walk to Alphabetics (also used at the parnter switch in the last few months of the run)
- Super Password: Ca$hword win (I've never understood why this was more impressive than the endgame win cue)
- Family Feud '70s/'80s: the fiddle and mouth-organ heavy faceoff/intro cue
"It's for £50,000. If you want to, you may remove your trousers."

BONA-FIDE FAVES:
Classic Concentration - What can I say?
Trivia Trap - At first, I thought of this theme as another carbon copy of the CS '86 theme, but a second listen and OOOOOH YEAH!!!
Jeopardy! - All versions and even the '97 version to some extent
WoF - Particularly the Big Wheels version, the '89 version, and even the '92 version
HS '86 - Love the sax, b/c it meshes so well w/ the overall look of this version and btw, is it me or does this versions's theme song remind me a lot of Nelly and Kelly's "Dilemma?"

FAVORITES
All versions of Password, esp. PW+ and SP
The B-E Packages
Pyramid (all except 2002)
To Tell the Truth (the '70s, '80s, and '90s)
(Tied) HR - Both versions & PYL

SO-SO
HS (Marshall) - All versions
Blockbusters - Both
The Challengers (1990)
SotC ('86)
Split Second (1986)

LEAST FAVORABLE

Jackpot (1970s) Alternate Version used on This Week in Baseball
HS (Bergeron) - Both versions
The Dating Game

AAAAACK!!! TURN IT OFF!!!
Gambit (1970s Closing) - I hate it, but then again I just like to listen to it to make fun of how horrible it is!!!
TJW (The Savers & Joker's Jive) - I can't stand obnoxious moog synthies!!!
The Wizard of Odds
All New 3's a Crowd - The original version's theme was a lot more bouncier than this, but this was the worst theme song opening I've ever heard of!!!
Pyramid 2002 - Too Clubby for my tastes!

HALL OF FAME
TPiR ('72 & '94), Whew!, MG (all verisons and yes, even the '60s version, a.k.a. Swingin' Safari and '98 version), Family Feud (All versions, but I prefer the percussion on Dawson's version though.), Hit Man

HALL OF SHAME
TTD '90 - What the f**k was Henry Mancini smoking here???, Monopoly (the sound of that first note makes me cringe to death in my seat!), All GS Theme Songs w/ Lyrics post-1985 (e.g. STYD w/ J.D. Roberto, Monopoly, you name it!), Scattegories, and LMaD 2003!!!

Maybe it's somewhere still in the Score Productions archives?

Guess I'll throw my choices in.

FAVORITES (in no particular order)
Super Password
The Challengers
Hit Man
Trivia Trap
Hollywood Squares (Davidson)
Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego
Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak
Wheel Of Fortune (1992 theme)
All-Star Blitz (Yes, I'm the only person on the planet who actually likes this theme.)

LEAST FAVORITES (again, in no particular order)
Tic Tac Dough 90 (Especially that God-awful prize music!)
Inquizition
The Thousand Dollar Bee
Roberto's Shop Til You Drop (the prize cues are all right, but the main theme and bonus round music are terrible)

I'm sure there are more I could put in each category, but that's all I can think of for now.
