Next week, TV Land will air TV Guide/TV Land's 100 Greatest TV Moments special Mon-Fri 12/6-12/10. Two game show related moments on the list: John Carpenter's Million Dollar win at #73, and Ralph Kramden on the $99K Answer on the Honeymooners at #91. Nope, no Kenjen or Larsen or TPIR or Felix and Oscar on Password.

1. Of course they're going to be inconsistent - they have different panels for every one. And these basically are just to get people talking about TVG and TVL. Which, of course, we're doing like good little sheep.

2. I think the KenJen moment that will go into the books is the streak-ender with the audience reaction.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

Game shows seem to have a history of being passed over for many lists like these.   If it's a general "Top shows" lists, then, a long-runner like Wheel or Price may be added in somewhere, but otherwise, Games are virtually ignored.  Why is this?  I can't really say. A number of reasons possibly.

It's possible that the people who make these lists are unaware of moments that frequent watchers of game shows feel are special.    It's also quite likely that they feel that events that happen in daytime, or in general syndication, have less meaning than the higher-rated, higher-profile primetime network shows.  These things tend to skew towards the primetime content, at the expense of other, possibly-deserving shows.  Another, quite real, possibility is likely that occurances from less-exposed game shows from twenty years ago just don't resonate as much in the minds of the mainstream viewers they want watching as, say, Marcia Brady getting hit in the nose with a football.   Many people have heard of the latter, but if you were to nominate Thom McKee's rain of terror, you'd largely get a "Huh?" .  This resonance largely comes from the fact that the football episode of Brady Bunch has been reran trillions of times in the last thirty years, while Thom's run...well...hasn't.

Could be behoof to the staff of GSN to make their own list of 100 game show show/moments?

Unfortually, it will not happen...unless the viewers can send in video tapes and get their (GSN) permission from the holders/production staff.

But, hey, I want to see Trebek's finale on "High Rollers" and Bob Barker's high chop again.

I suspect we'd have a better list than they would. They'd most likely include moments from Blackjack, Dog Eat Dog, Kenny v. Spenny, Friend or Foe etc.

Uh, no, I don't think it would include anything from Kenny vs. Spenny.

Perhaps they could do a Top 100 list out of what they have access to and show it as a special - but that will likely never happen as they'd have to dig all of that stuff out of the "vault".

Why research and go into the vault? We could just send them our VHS tapes and they could make them into a special, just like NBC did.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
