The Format is just dead forever.

LIAR'S CLUB
SPLIT SECOND

I think both of these shows could work today.  "Split Second", if done right, could be a big hit with today's audiences.  When you look at the continued success of "Jeopardy", another fast-paced Q&A show could definately work.  Sometimes people complain that "WWTBAM" is too slow, but this one would keep you right in the game all the way along.

Same here...Split Second seems fast enough to keep the audience's attention.  Of course if that doesn't hold them, we'll have the contestants play the bonus round for their choice of five Mercedeses! And in the second round, the host MUST make note of the fact that he is DOUBLING the points!!! Boo-ya!

As for Liar's Club, perfect way to get some celebrities going (but do not take the Pyramid02 route and make the game all about them). I'd get the staff from H2/Balderdash to do it; they seem to have the bluffing games down pat. ;-)

Roughly 1.2 times greater than an imperial buttload. ;)

This I wonder. Just before Double Jeopardy!, does Johnny Gilbert have to implore the audience not to go ape when Alex announces that the dollar values are being doubled? It certainly would be a temptation to any human to let loose in a frenzy when such an announcement is made. Perhaps there's a sign near the APPLAUSE lights that says, "BITE YOUR LIPS".

I thought an "imperial buttload" was a relative of Prince Charles.

I must say that Split Second AND Hit Man were excellent concepts.  Split second especially, since it was one of those shows, like $ale and Jeopardy, that was challenging, and took REAL skill to win.

Don: I heard about this one time when, after Pat announced that $1,000 would be added to what he spun on the final spin, an audience member ran on stage and impaled himself on the wheel.

Wow.  Mo' Money Syndrome and Crappy Host Syndrome.  For host, I'd go with someone who has some experience hosting game shows--Kennedy.

Sorry, Kennedy wouldn't do.  Has to be an exact match to get my goat & Jane Kaczmarek's it!

Whatever you, your goat, and Jane Kaczmarek do in the privacy of your own residence is none of my business.  Let's hope the witch isn't operating the video camera, providing a live feed to the Internet.

As long as Malcolm doesn't end up in the middle of this rendezvous, I'm cool.

Meanwhile, from what I know, Jane Kaczmarek's a very nice lady and a good Wisconsin girl who just plays a seeming ogre on TV and probably wouldn't be a good game show host (but could be a good panelist or celeb player).

There's a reason why they call it "acting."

See now, I thought an exact match for you would have to be a stooge.

I still stand by that.
