We got one!

I saw on Mediaweek.com recently that 'Feud's' ratings are up for a 2nd. year. So I expected the pink slip soon.

No seriosuly, according to TVgameshows.net it has been renewed.

Since this modest little show is obstensibly doing well enough it's probably naive to think that Freemantle would bring in some new people to give the show a welcome 'H2'-style makeover.

Oh well. I'll take another year of this modest little show 'as-is' in any event.

If a game show's ratings are UP for two years in a row, what makes you think the show will get cancelled? Unless, of course, someone "in the know" can think of an example of a show that got cancelled after two years of increasing ratings.

And for the record, Louie, that's FOUR, FOUR SEASONS!  AHAHAHAHAHA (forgive the Count imitation)
I'm a pacifist, and even I would like to see a little more action.

"Pyramid" was what came to mind for me, too.

As for Feud, I am happy that we still have a decent number of syndie games on...would love to see the number build, and maybe if the "Dance Monkey Dance DDR" tourney is a success, some more can hit the air.

Let's face it, I rag the show to death about the how the audience goes apeshit over DOUBLING THE POINTS! BOO-YA!, but all in all, it's been a decent revival, esp. by Fremantle standards. The only thing really bad about it is they yell too much, other than that, it works for me. And I think Louie is eating crow (among other things) for saying the show would be gone in a season, and now Karn's outlasted him.

However, it *is* pretty funny that this show is closing in on the Dawson tenure (two more seasons), and already outlasted one of the better hosts for the show. :-)

This renewal also ties it with the length of the last Feud run, which ran seven seasons.

That's a perfect way to put it - over the years it has become a decent revial by Freemantle standards. As for closing in on Richard D's nine years, who knew?

When E! reruns the 'Feud True Hollywood Story' I guess it wil be as-is from '02. Louie's prediction will be funny to see.

Also seeing former producer Michael Canter's comments about changing the set and theme as if it were a good thing is funny to see in a sad sort of way.

Not only is FF being renewed, come this May(I think), it'll do its Tournament of Champions stunt with former champions vieing to win as much as $120K(not sure how thay come to that figure).

Speaking of renewals, last week it was reported that syndie Millionaire would be renewed for 4 more years.  Turns out Beuana Vista Television says only about 60% of the markets that carry it got cleared for it.  In order for the renewal to take effect, at least 70%-80% of the markets MUST be cleared.  Makes me wonder who the "hold-out" stations are & why they are holding out on it.

Sounds like it'll be like the Combs and that "Family Circle" tourney they did a few years ago. Start off with a base amount (say $50,000), and each Fast Money win adds a certain amount to the jackpot (say $20,000 per win), and a loss just adds the consolation money.

Whoever wins the tourney (in the case of the Family Circle thing, it was the first to a certain point value, 400 maybe?) wins the dough.

Wow I can't believe the Feud is coming back for a Seventh season. Thats so awesome. I just keep wondering what Louie Anderson is thinking after his prediction on THS. What has he been up to anyway?

Actually, Louie's lost some poundage after his bypass surgery.  He looks better than he did.

(I guess crow is on the Atkin's diet.)

It was 500 points in the 2002 tournament final game, but, yes, that most likely will be the way it's done. At least they're not bringing back 150 of our favorite families to battle it out for a year and a half while some monkey does his dance in a cage. This is a tournament I'm looking forward to. Hope the Coles (the lovely Carmen and Finis and company) are invited for this.

Zach, you're not going to get the Scarecrow Award, because I refuse to grant such an "award" to someone who will really take it as a honor.  I guess you didn't clue into the words "No seriosuly" (sic) in the original post, did you?
