Well, for one, we don't have any evidence that you can program a game worth anything.  The last thing I would worry about right now is what the background would look like.

Because you clearly care more about how the game looks then how it plays, which indicates to me that you don't have the first clue as to how the programming process works.

I don't care if it's green text on a black screen, if the game plays well, I'll play it. By the same token, I don't care if it's so photorealistic that I can smell the liverwurst Jim ate during the lunchbreak, if it DOESN'T play well, I'm not interested.
