Yeah, and in the meanwhile, exactly what week did that France/French incident air again? I forgot. I do know there's quite a few weeks with Betty White and Dick Martin on together.

Just thought it should be mentioned that we're at roughtly the same spot (I *think* GSN skipped one week with Vicki Lawrence) as when they left off in the brief September 2002 airings.

There's a White/Martin week two weeks from the point(December 1980) they're at now. Three more weeks with White and Martin aired in 1981, one in early March (also featuring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Jr., which GSN showed in October 2001 in the wake of the 50th anniversary of I Love Lucy), one in late March, and one in September.

And if it hasn't already aired, keep your eyes peeled for a hillarious Alphabetics that involves Bert and the password "Charmin". :-)

Incidentally, next wk (4/11) will feature the only P+ appearance of Della Reese, joined by semi-occasional guest Bill Anderson (late of some short-lived G-T "battle of the sexes" game that aired a coupla yrs prior...name escapes me, LOL).

We won't be seeing that moment this time around, as Tom and Bert made references to it happening on one of the Alphabetics rounds on today's episode.

As per an ATGS post in 2000, on the 12/3/80 episode of Password Plus(the last Kennedy episode of P+ aired before the Dark Period began), Bert gets the word Charmin in Alphabetics, and has a brain freeze and doesn't exactly know what the word meant.

So...you mean they are picking up the run from where they left off almost 8 years ago?  That's some good attention to detail there...

No.  They're picking up from the last show from the weekend airings in 2001/2.

Ludden was still hosting when the weekend airings of it ended in Summer 2002. You might be confusing the weekend airings from the four weeks of early Tom Kennedy shows seen weekdays in September 2002. They picked up the P+ run one or two weeks later than the 9/02 weekday run. They showed September 1986 eps. of SP during 9/02 as well, but didn't pick up SP from that point.

Wow.

It was in 2002 when it last aired. There, happy? Heaven forbid that Mike actually have a life and forget something.

BTW, if GSN leaves P+ on the sched long enough to get into mid-1981, you'll get to see a future GS host try his hand on 3 different wks...who is he? Here are the clues:

DUKE
SON
MONTE CARLO
YOU
WIN

Don't say I didn't warn you. :-D

I remember when SP was on the daily sched. a couple years back, this "mysterious" person appeared sometime in 1985, and did so bad, that he got a standing ovation when he finally clicked with his partner.

And yet somehow, he got his own show. There must not have been too many candidates for that show.
