I was wondering if anyone knew of the where abouts of old set pieces.  I know a lot of things were destroyed after shows were cancelled, but you never know if someone on the boards may have something.

I've snuck into the dumpster here at NBC and at CBS a few times before, and I have:

4 wedges from the Wheel of Fortune Wheel
1 trilon from the Concentration Board
1 stool from the 20,000 Pyramid set
6 actual retail price tags from TPiR
1 TV screen from Tattletales
5 slides from the SNL Jeopardy! set
A few question cards from Match Game P.M.

And a few more other assorted stuff. You never know what you'll find in a dumpster!

Well, it's not a set piece or even a prop, but a while back on Ebay, somebody who must have worked at an NBC affil. was selling promotional art cards, and I had the winning bid on one of them.  I'm reasonably sure I am now the only person on the planet who has an art card for \"Mindreaders.\"
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Wow, if I may say so, that sounds impressive to me. Neat stuff to have, especially for free.

I remember reading back at ATGS that the Feud set was left in storage at ABC, or more like left out to rot; it was damaged by weather. IIRC, some of the Feud set was re-used for the CBS run, but after some \"modifications.\"

Was the trilon from \"Concentration\" from the Narz or Clayton run?

You mean you didn't get the entire set of the Mike Douglas Show?  :-p

In 1999, when my university residence was doing a mass clean out of its storage room I found quite the treasure: a fiberglass set piece from the old Reach for the Top series that had been used to designate Prince Edward Island.  No idea why it was in a university in New Brunswick, though!

I also have two question cards from my visit to \"Questions pour un champion\" in Paris eighteen months ago.

The only time I wished that I had specifically asked for something GS set wise was during my appearance on Wheel of Fortune; if I had thought about it, I would have realized that the show would never again give away \"Luggature\" :)

Cheers,

Ryan :)

If you're making a Seinfeld reference here...I think it was the Merv Griffin show set, actually.  Still...I laughed nonetheless! :-)  This was the first thing I thought of when I read SimpsonGeek's post.

And maybe he doesn't. I know I didn't, until I bought a digital camera myself.

With an attitude like that, I wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to go to the trouble.
