Nineteen years ago it was yesterday since Henry Polic II bade adieu to his audience of Celebrity Double Talk. STILL!!! we wait for someone to write ABC and "tell them about us". Let's get busy with those petitions, boys and girls. We can't let twenty full years go by without this classic.

Aw. Don't be so harsh. I thought, at the very least, it was a bit more solid as a game than "Shoot for the Stars" because the whole random dollar amount thing didn't sit well with me. That little idea worked for "Jackpot" - not so much for "Stars."

But hey, for once Bob Stewart sold a show with his usual pilot-only device of having a totally unrelated endgame.

I'm still waiting for the return of "The Better Sex".  Didn't Bill Anderson say they'd be back soon?  That was 1978 - let's get this one back before 30 years pass by!!

Chain Reaction's pilot had a similar endgame to what we saw on the show, albeit unrelated to the maingame, and it sold.

Isn't Bill Anderson dead?

Oh, no...wait...that's only his career that's dead.

Guess again. He's had somewhat of a renaissance in Nashville as a songwriter; he won a CMA Award last month.

And, as my wife frequently points out, his hairpiece is only a year and a half old.
