Isn't this old news, even if his trial is just starting?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Ah, jesus, let it go, man.

(I _am_ mildly curious why every one of his links goes to iWon, tho.)

It's a legitimate question, Chris. Lighten up.

(And I'm also mildly curious about the iWon connection, too.)

I'd agree, except it was pretty clear you didn't even look at the link, which in fact offers coverage of the trial itself. Which, yes, is news.

I would suggest that the old news was that he was going to be tried, and the current news is that the trial has started.  I really don't see why anybody should have a problem with it.

Meanwhile, BOY does it look like they've got Hatch dead to rights.  Here's a guy who prides himself on showing off how smart, shrewd and clever he is, and his best defense is that he's stupid?

Could be worse...at least he didn't decide to represent himself. :rimshot:

There's a joke here about Hatch spending time in PMITA prison, but I don't think it would be appropriate to make. :)

As for iWon, it's pretty much just a "portal" now, I think. Not really any weirder than someone who always links to Yahoo for news.

Yeah, but WAY back in the day, all IWon was was a site that you visited once a day to enter a sweepstakes to try to win money, ostensibly funded by the ads they showed at you when you went to to it. Now they have all of that "portal"-ish crap like news and Someone Else's Search Engine, and Licensed Games They Didn't Make and whatnot.

Hear hear, FosterGray! The possibility of Hatch doing a naked summation before the jury boggles the mind.

Hey..it helped him win once...

Yes, but he needed only four out of seven votes from that jury.  Here he needs the support of all 12 jurors.  And if not all of them vote one way or the other, they all get together and sing Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" very badly.  That's right...a William Hung jury.  [ducking]

(...throws a season three Law & Order DVD set at Jason...)

He might be able to beat the rap on constitutional grounds. He's entitled to a jury of his peers. What are the odds of finding 12 more arrogant tax-dodging exhibitionists?

"So I'm just stupid, eh, Your Honor? Well, I got your "Exhibit A"...right here!
