10 years ago on the Friday before Super Bowl XXX weekend, though NBC had the big game, CBS had a super performance.
A gentleman by the name of Bryan (who looked a little like Darius Rucker of Hootie & The Blowfish) from Kentucky, won his way up on stage & played (cue harp music) Punch-A-Bunch!
He won 3/4 prizes, earning him 3 punches. On the first punch, Bob discussed that he & his wife traveled from Kentucky & that it costed a lot of money to travel. He then informs him that the investment was worth it for $5,000!
The audience cheered, but Bryan shook his head NO! Bob & the audience were all over him, they even shouted "KEEP IT!" Bryan said, "I'm being attacked by vicious dogs, I'm going for it."
The audience groaned & Janice quipped, "He's a gambling man." So with a heavy heart, Bob gets out the next slip of paper. Then he whines, "Can we change the rules to this game. He gave up $5,000 & ended up with...(yelling) $10,000!"
(Cue Curly siren)
One of the most memorable moments in Punch-A-Bunch history, next to Lilia (who in 2000, also won $10K + $11K on the wheel for a BI-SLAM!).
