Ep. I took in today on GSN featured a team playing for a whopping $3,000. Was this the lowest total in the run? And what was the highest? I guess if somebody has data on the records with 75k top prize and 100k top prize rules, go ahead with both.

Wasn't there one episode early in the run, where someone only won $2,500? Maybe you're describing the one I'm talking about. ISTR Perfesser making a statement about it.

There were totals as low as $1250 IIRC.

I believe that the all-time record low bank on the show in the two seasons on the air was $250.

As for the first-season high, I think it was $36,000, thanks to a $25,000 bank in the double dollar rounds.

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

Somehow, I doubt that.  You're telling me that a team only managed to bank one question the entire game?

If someone banked a whopping $250 in the whole game, it would have been discussed on ATGS or Ezboard. It didn't turn up in my quick ATGS search, and I don't believe there is anyway to access the six months of our posts on Ezboard.

For the benefit of those who are fans of the Ignore List (I only peeked myself), I will back up Zach's memory of $1,250 being the lowest total bank on a Gray WL. And I'm almost positive that the second-season record high total was $53,000.

I can't begin to remember the specifics of the game play from the hundreds of episodes... taped 4 a day, for as many as 9 days in a row between the net and syndie versions. But I would love to know when the memoribilia starts appreciating in value!

Anyone for an autographed picture of George?!

Upon further review, my original statement about the top score for the first season of the show was incorrect. It was actually $34,750, won during a "Big Losers" week episode. The episode's score I messed up was actually $33,000, with a $25,000 win in the final round.

All-time lowest total was $1K, on an all-lifeguards show that aired in Jul 03.

Incidentally, I have the $1.25K win on tape, and it should've been $750, since one player was wrongly given credit on a question just prior to a $500 bank...he said a long-running Fox sitcom was "Married w/THE Children".
